Job Title: Application Developer – Natural Mainframe

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Application Developer – Natural Mainframe to design, develop, maintain, and enhance applications using Natural Mainframe Programming Language and Adabas.

The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and deliver reliable, high-quality applications that meet business and customer needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain software applications using Natural Mainframe Programming Language.
• Develop and maintain applications utilizing Adabas tables.
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to understand and analyze requirements.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and application solutions.
• Develop and execute unit and integration tests to ensure application quality and functionality.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues in a timely manner.
• Participate in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Maintain and enhance existing applications based on business requirements.
• Work collaboratively with team members and stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within quality standards.
• Follow established software engineering, coding, testing, and documentation standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in Natural Mainframe programming.
• Expert proficiency in Natural Mainframe Programming Language.
• Strong hands-on experience with Adabas tables.
• Experience using Consist or NAT editors is required.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and software engineering principles.
• Experience working with relational databases and SQL.
• Knowledge or experience with Agile development methodologies.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional and technical teams.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Equivalent relevant professional experience may also be considered.

Preferred Experience

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing and maintaining high-quality enterprise applications, with strong expertise in Natural Mainframe and Adabas environments.
