Job Title: Human Resource Officer
Location: Nairobi
Position Overview: In your role as a HRO based in Nairobi, your main duty is to supervise all HR and administrative tasks encompassing recruitment, contracting, onboarding, performance management, attendance, disciplinary matters, and offboarding for personnel at our client site. Furthermore, you will play a pivotal role in fostering and maintaining robust work place relationships.
Key Responsibilities
1. Leave Management: Efficiently manage leave requests for direct staff members.
2. Employee Onboarding: Facilitate a seamless onboarding process for new hires, ensuring timely issuance of contracts.
3. Employee Relations: Act as a key point of contact for addressing employee concerns or grievances, fostering a positive work environment.
4. Performance Management: Support the performance evaluation process for direct staff members.
5. HR Data Management: Maintain accurate HR records and data, including employee files, attendance records, and training documentation.
6. Payroll Processing: Ensure accurate processing of payroll for all employees, including verification of timesheets, salary adjustments, and deductions.
7. Compliance and Legal Requirements: Stay abreast of changes in labor laws and ensure compliance with employment regulations and internal policies.
8. Client Retention and Growth: Drive retention and growth of the existing customer base through exceptional service delivery and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience as a HR practitioner or in an operations role in a dynamic business environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management or business-related field from a reputable institution.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and HRMIS systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve operational challenges efficiently.
Preferred:
• Understanding of Kenya's Employment Laws.
• Proven ability to take ownership, deliver results, foster team success, and drive change.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong people management and attention to detail capabilities.
• Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of individuals
