Job Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Sales Executive with a strong background in shipping, freight forwarding, and logistics sales. The ideal candidate will be responsible for acquiring new customers, generating profitable business, negotiating freight rates, and developing long-term client relationships.

Responsibilities:

• Identify and acquire new customers, including exporters, importers, manufacturers, and traders.
  
  
• Generate leads through client visits, networking, calls, referrals, and emails.
  
  
• Understand customer shipping requirements, cargo details, and freight needs.
  
  
• Coordinate with shipping lines, NVOCCs, overseas agents, and transporters to obtain competitive rates.
  
  
• Prepare freight quotations and negotiate pricing while maintaining profit margins.
  
  
• Follow up on quotations and convert enquiries into confirmed shipments.
  
  
• Monitor market freight rates, competitor activities, and industry trends.
  

Requirements

• 5–8 years of relevant experience in shipping, freight forwarding, or logistics sales.
  
  
• Strong knowledge of the Indian shipping and logistics market.
  
  
• Experience in customer acquisition, freight rate negotiation, and business development.
  
  
• Good communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  
  
• Ability to achieve sales targets and develop profitable customer relationships.
  
  
• Existing industry contacts and a proven sales track record will be an advantage.
