Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Tailor to join our team in the United Arab Emirates. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating, altering, and repairing garments according to client specifications while maintaining the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship. The ideal candidate will have strong tailoring expertise, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to deliver customized clothing solutions that meet customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Take accurate body measurements to ensure proper garment fitting and comfort.
  
• Cut fabrics according to patterns, designs, and customer requirements.
  
• Perform hand stitching and operate sewing machines to create high-quality garments.
  
• Alter, repair, and modify clothing to improve fit or restore damaged garments.
  
• Recommend suitable fabrics and materials based on design preferences, durability, and budget considerations.
  
• Conduct fitting sessions and make necessary adjustments to achieve the desired fit and finish.
  
• Maintain sewing machines, tools, and work areas to ensure safe and efficient operations.
  
• Consult with customers regarding designs, garment requirements, pricing, and delivery timelines.
  
• Manage multiple orders while ensuring all garments are completed accurately and delivered on schedule.
  
• Maintain excellent attention to detail and communication skills to understand and fulfill customer expectations.
  

Requirements

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Tailor, Dressmaker, or in a similar garment production role.
  
• Skilled in operating sewing machines and performing detailed hand-stitching techniques.
  
• Strong knowledge of fabrics, patterns, garment construction, and alteration methods.
  
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to produce precise and high-quality work.
  
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
  
• Ability to manage multiple orders while meeting deadlines.
  
• Good organizational skills and the ability to maintain an efficient workflow.
  

Preferred Skills

• Creativity and problem-solving skills for custom garment designs and complex alterations.
  
• Previous experience working in a customer-focused tailoring, fashion, or garment retail environment.
  
• Ability to provide recommendations on styles, materials, and design improvements.
  

Education & Certification

• Formal training, diploma, or certification in tailoring, fashion design, or a related field is preferred but not required.
