Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a detail-oriented and financially experienced Assistant Financial Controller for a luxury safari estate in Hazyview, Mpumalanga.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the management of daily financial operations and accounting functions.
  

• Prepare and review financial reports, reconciliations and management accounts.
  

• Monitor budgets, expenditure and financial performance.
  

• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
  

• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger transactions.
  

• Ensure accurate financial records and compliance with internal controls.
  

• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
  

• Support audits and ensure adherence to relevant financial procedures.
  

• Work closely with management to improve financial efficiency and reporting accuracy.
  

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a financial accounting or assistant financial controller role.
  

• Previous experience within a luxury hospitality, hotel or lodge environment would be advantageous.
  

• A relevant financial qualification in accounting or finance.
  

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting and reconciliations.
  

• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  

• Excellent analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
  

• High attention to detail, integrity and the ability to meet deadlines.
  

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
  

Salary: Negotiable, depending on experience.
