Seeking a Compassionate Patient Service Technician- Local Driver in Watertown, WI
Impact to Health is seeking a compassionate Patient Service Technician for patients who rely on respiratory and durable medical equipment at home. In this role, you’ll deliver and set up essential medical equipment for individuals in your local community, offering hands‑on support, reassurance, and education that empowers patients to feel safer, more comfortable, and more independent. Every mile you drive and every home you visit directly contributes to better health outcomes and meaningful moments of care.
Work Schedule & Shift Expectations: Our standard business hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., but Patient Service Technicians should maintain flexibility, as certain days may extend beyond 5:00 p.m. based on patient needs.
On‑Call & Holiday Rotation: This role includes participation in an on‑call rotation as well as a holiday rotation. The current schedule runs every other week, though we are actively working to transition this to every third week to support better work–life balance.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Deliver respiratory and home medical equipment with a patient‑first mindset, ensuring every interaction reflects compassion, respect, and dignity.
- Set up equipment in the home with care and attentiveness, creating a safe, comfortable environment that supports each patient’s health and independence.
- Provide clear, empathetic education to patients and caregivers, helping them feel confident and supported in using their equipment.
- Assess equipment functionality during each visit, troubleshooting issues with patience and reassurance to reduce stress for patients and families.
- Respond to urgent equipment needs with calm, timely support, understanding the critical role this equipment plays in a patient’s wellbeing.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of deliveries, patient interactions, and service activities to ensure continuity of care.
- Keep company vehicles clean, safe, and ready for service to support reliable patient care in the community.
- Follow all safety protocols and company standards to protect patients, caregivers, and yourself.
- Participate in on‑call rotations, offering compassionate assistance during after‑hours needs.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support patient health, comfort, and overall care experience.
Requirements
Required Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or GED equivalent, required
- Valid driver’s license in state of residence with a clean driving record, required
Preferred Education and/or Experience
- Experience with medical equipment, preferred
- One year of related work experience, preferred
- Medical terminology, preferred
