Seeking a detail-oriented and driven Licensing Technician Supervisor to support the oversight and regulation of child residential, child day treatment, and mental health programs throughout the Commonwealth. This role offers a meaningful opportunity to protect vulnerable populations by ensuring that licensed facilities operate in full compliance with state laws and regulations while maintaining safe, supportive, and high-quality care environments. It is an ideal position for individuals with a background in health or human services who are passionate about accountability, public safety, and improving the standard of care across regulated programs.
In this position, you will conduct a wide variety of inspections, including initial, annual, monitoring, and complaint-driven investigations, to evaluate whether facilities meet regulatory requirements. Working with a high level of independence, you will assess both the physical environment and documentation of each site, ensuring compliance with applicable statutes, policies, and procedures. Your findings will directly influence licensing decisions and enforcement actions, making your role critical in maintaining the integrity of care systems.
You will also be responsible for investigating complaints, incidents, and allegations of noncompliance or illegal operations. This involves gathering and analyzing information through interviews with residents, staff, family members, medical professionals, and other stakeholders, as well as reviewing medical, legal, and program documentation. In more complex situations, you may assist in coordinating the relocation of residents from unsafe or non compliant facilities, working closely with agencies and providers to ensure individuals are placed in appropriate and supportive environments.
The role includes monitoring corrective action plans and providing technical guidance to facilities to help them achieve and maintain compliance. You will prepare detailed reports, violation summaries, and licensing documentation, and use your professional judgment to recommend enforcement actions when necessary. Additionally, you may serve as a representative in administrative or court hearings, presenting findings and contributing to regulatory decisions that impact service providers and the populations they serve.
This position requires strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, as well as the ability to interpret and apply complex regulations. You will maintain up-to-date knowledge of governing laws and policies while responding to regulatory inquiries from providers and stakeholders. The role offers a dynamic work environment with a mix of fieldwork and independent home-based responsibilities, including extensive regional travel and occasional overnight stays.
