Position - PGT English Teacher
Location - Zydus Cross Road, Opposite Gulab Tower, Ahmedabad, Gujarat
Salary - ₹50,000 – ₹60,000 per month
Curriculum - ICSE Curriculum
Grades - 7th - 12th

About the Position

We are looking for an experienced, qualified, and passionate PGT English Teacher to join our academic team in Ahmedabad. The candidate will be responsible for teaching English to senior secondary students up to Class 12, following the ICSE curriculum.

The ideal candidate should have a strong academic background in English, excellent subject knowledge, effective communication skills, and the ability to prepare students for board-level examinations. The teacher should be capable of creating an engaging classroom environment while maintaining high academic standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach English Language and Literature  for 7th-12th grades as per the ICSE curriculum.
  
• Prepare and deliver well-structured, engaging, and curriculum-aligned lesson plans.
  
• Develop students' skills in reading, writing, grammar, comprehension, vocabulary, communication, and literary analysis.
  
• Provide comprehensive preparation for ICSE board examinations.
  
• Explain complex literary concepts, texts, poetry, prose, drama, and language skills in an accessible manner.
  
• Conduct regular class tests, assessments, assignments, projects, and examinations.
  
• Evaluate students' academic performance and provide constructive feedback.
  
• Identify students who require additional academic support and conduct remedial or extra classes where required.
  
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, grades, and student progress.
  
• Encourage critical thinking, creativity, analytical skills, and effective written and verbal communication.
  
• Guide students in improving their examination-writing techniques and presentation skills.
  
• Maintain classroom discipline and create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
  
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding students' academic progress whenever required.
  
• Participate in school meetings, academic planning, workshops, events, and other institutional activities.
  
• Collaborate with other teachers and academic coordinators to ensure effective curriculum delivery.
  

Requirements

Educational Qualifications

Mandatory Qualifications:

• B.A. in English (Honors) – Compulsory
  
• Postgraduate qualification in English – Compulsory
  
• B.Ed. – Compulsory
  
• PGT / Postgraduate Teacher qualification or equivalent teaching eligibility is required.
  
• Candidates must have a strong academic background in English Language and Literature.

Experience

Candidates with 5+ years of experience teaching English at the senior secondary/PGT level, particularly under the ICSE curriculum, will be preferred.

Experience in preparing students for Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations will be an added advantage.
