About the Role

Disruptive Recruitment is recruiting a Cabinet Draftsperson for a locally owned custom cabinetmaking business in O’Connor, Perth.

The business manufactures cabinetry and joinery for residential and commercial projects, including high-end kitchens, office fit-outs, bespoke furniture and wall panelling.

We’re looking for someone with practical cabinetry drafting experience who can produce accurate drawings using Cabinet Vision and prepare projects for CNC nesting.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cabinetry and joinery drawings using Cabinet Vision.
  

• Interpret architectural plans and project specifications.
  

• Prepare drawings for CNC nesting and manufacture.
  

• Incorporate the correct materials, hardware and construction details into drawings.
  

• Review drawings for accuracy and resolve discrepancies before production.
  

• Work closely with the manufacturing team to clarify project requirements.
  

• Manage drafting priorities across residential and commercial projects.
  

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Draftsperson within a cabinetmaking or joinery business.
  

• Proficiency in Cabinet Vision software.
  

• Ability to interpret architectural plans.
  

• Experience preparing drawings for CNC nesting.
  

• Strong understanding of joinery materials, hardware and manufacturing processes.
  

• High attention to detail and accuracy.
  

• Ability to work independently, take initiative and meet deadlines.
  

• Clear communication and a collaborative approach.
  

Qualifications

• A cabinetmaking trade qualification is advantageous but not essential.
  

• Relevant practical cabinetry drafting experience is required.
