Building Material Coordinator

We are currently seeking a Building Material Coordinator to support procurement activities for large-scale building and infrastructure projects to be based in Japan for a 1 year contract (subject to extension).

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years' experience in procurement or supply chain management
• Background in electrical equipment, HVAC systems, or MEP procurement preferred
• Candidates from electrical design/construction or HVAC design/construction looking to transition into procurement management are welcome to apply
• Strong English communication skills
• Ability to coordinate effectively with HVAC engineers, fire protection engineers, consultants and vendors
• Experience participating in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) will be an added advantage
• What You'll Do
• Source and manage building materials and equipment vendors
• Coordinate technical and commercial evaluations
• Ensure procurement schedules align with project timelines
• Work closely with engineering and construction teams to support project delivery
• Manage supplier relationships and quality compliance
