About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join our financial services practice on a remote basis from India. This role sits at the intersection of business analysis and domain consulting, translating complex retirement, asset management, and banking requirements into clear, actionable solutions.

You will work directly with client stakeholders, product owners, and technology teams to gather requirements, model processes, and guide the design and delivery of retirement and financial services solutions — similar to the consulting model followed by firms supporting large insurance, retirement, and banking platform modernization programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with business stakeholders, plan sponsors, and technology teams to elicit, analyze, and document business and functional requirements for retirement, asset management, and banking platforms.
  
• Conduct JAD/JAR sessions, workshops, and stakeholder interviews to gather requirements and resolve conflicting priorities across business and IT teams.
  
• Perform GAP analysis and document AS-IS and TO-BE business processes for retirement plan administration, recordkeeping, custody, or core banking workflows.
  
• Translate business needs into detailed requirements artifacts — process workflows, use cases, wireframes, user stories, and requirement blueprints — that bridge the gap between business needs and system capability.
  
• Apply business process modeling techniques (activity diagrams, sequence diagrams, data flow diagrams) to represent current and future-state processes clearly.
  
• Support solution design by evaluating alternatives, working with architects and developers, and validating that proposed solutions meet regulatory, compliance, and business objectives.
  
• Own and groom the product backlog in partnership with product owners; prioritize requirements and change requests based on business value and delivery capacity.
  
• Act as the primary liaison between business, operations, and technology teams, ensuring requirements are understood, tracked, and delivered end-to-end.
  
• Operate effectively within Agile/Scrum delivery models, supporting sprint ceremonies, backlog refinement, and release-readiness activities.
  
• Stay current on retirement industry platforms, recordkeeping systems, policy/plan administration tools, and emerging technology (including cloud and AI-enabled capabilities) relevant to financial services consulting.

Requirements

Required Experience & Domain Expertise

• 8+ years of overall business analysis / consulting experience, with a minimum of 5+ years focused on financial services — specifically retirement services, asset management, or banking.
  
• Demonstrated experience with regulatory and compliance-driven projects impacting retirement, asset management, or banking operations.
  
• Working knowledge of core financial services platforms and processes — policy/plan administration systems, billing, claims, underwriting, or core banking modules — gained through direct project experience.
  
• Experience supporting large-scale platform implementations or modernization programs (e.g., core system replacements, third-party integrations, or data migration initiatives) within regulated financial environments.
  

Senior Business Analysis Skills & Tools

• Requirements elicitation, GAP analysis, and process documentation (AS-IS / TO-BE).
  
• Backlog management, user story writing, and prioritization within Agile/Scrum frameworks.
  
• Stakeholder management across business, operations, and technology functions.
  
• Familiarity with REST APIs, data mapping, and third-party system integrations.
  

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related field is required.
  
• A postgraduate degree or MBA in Management, Finance, or a related discipline is preferred.
