SAP ABAP / S/4HANA CDS CONSULTANT – FI/CO

Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled SAP ABAP and S/4HANA CDS Consultant with a specialized focus on Finance and Controlling (FI/CO) to join our IT Services team. In this pivotal role, the successful candidate will bridge the gap between complex business requirements and technical implementation, ensuring seamless data integrity and process optimization within the SAP ecosystem. This position is critical for organizations navigating the transition from legacy ECC environments to the modern S/4HANA landscape, requiring deep expertise in data modeling, debugging, and the development of robust custom solutions that support core financial operations.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop complex Source-to-Target mappings to facilitate accurate data transformation and integration.
  
• Perform advanced ABAP debugging and troubleshooting to resolve critical system issues and enhance application performance.
  
• Leverage in-depth knowledge of SAP FI/CO modules, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cost Centers, Profit Centers, and Asset Accounting, to drive functional and technical alignment.
  
• Lead technical activities associated with migrating legacy ECC systems to S/4HANA, ensuring data consistency and process continuity.
  
• Utilize SAP ABAP and ABAP Objects to create efficient, scalable, and maintainable code solutions tailored to specific business needs.
  
• Architect and implement SAP S/4HANA Core Data Services (CDS) views to support advanced data modeling and analytics.
  
• Collaborate on the utilization of the S/4HANA Data Model, specifically the ACDOCA table, to enable real-time financial reporting and analysis.
  
• Integrate data analytics tools such as Databricks or Power BI to enhance reporting capabilities and provide actionable business insights (as applicable).
  

Requirements

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in SAP development and consulting.
  
• Proven expertise in SAP ABAP and ABAP Objects, with a strong command of object-oriented programming principles.
  
• Deep proficiency in SAP FI/CO processes and a thorough understanding of the S/4HANA data model.
  
• Demonstrated ability to create and manage SAP S/4HANA CDS Views for data consumption.
  
• Extensive experience in performing Source-to-Target mapping and executing complex ABAP debugging sessions.
  
• Solid background in managing ECC to S/4HANA migration projects.
  
• Familiarity with data analytics platforms like Databricks or Power BI is considered a significant advantage.
  
• Ability to work effectively in an IT Services environment, delivering high-quality solutions under tight deadlines.
