Payroll Manager

Responsibilities:

• Process high-volume weekly payroll for a large hourly and tipped workforce across multiple legal entities and states.
  
• Lead, coach, and oversee the payroll team, setting priorities and holding the team accountable.
  
• Assess the current payroll department, build an improvement roadmap, and put controls in place.
  
• Manage tip pooling, tip reporting, and the reconciliation of tip distributions to payroll.
  
• Ensure compliance with state and federal wage and hour laws, including final pay deadlines, overtime, and garnishments.
  
• Oversee payroll tax administration and year-end W-2 processing.
  
• Partner with Finance on general ledger reconciliations and labor reporting.
  
• Work with location managers to ensure accurate and timely payroll submissions.
  

Requirements

Requirements:

• 8+ years of progressive payroll experience, including managing a payroll function.
  
• Experience processing weekly, multi-entity, multi-state payroll for 600+ employees.
  
• Strong knowledge of wage and hour compliance, payroll tax administration, and year-end reporting.
  
• Advanced Excel skills, including reconciling large data sets.
  
• A self-starter who can assess a department, set priorities, and drive improvements independently.
  
• Restaurant, hospitality, or tipped workforce payroll experience is a plus.
  
• Hands-on iSolved experience is a plus.
