MEP Draftsman

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled MEP Draftsman to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in creating detailed and accurate drafting for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in construction projects. You will work closely with engineers and architects to translate their designs into CAD drawings and documents.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed CAD drawings and plans for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems based on designs provided by engineers and architects.
• Review engineering drawings, documents, and design specifications to produce comprehensive and accurate documents.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations in all drafting work.
• Update and modify existing drawings as required by project changes or revisions.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to gather design information and resolve any discrepancies.
• Maintain and organize CAD files systematically for easy retrieval and reference.
• Assist in the preparation of project documentation such as submittals, transmittals, and record drawings.

Requirements:

• Proven experience of 3–5 years as an MEP Draftsman or in a similar role.
• Strong proficiency in using CAD software such as AutoCAD or Revit.
• Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design standards and practices.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
• Excellent attention to detail to ensure precision in drawings and documents.
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with engineers, architects, and construction teams.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

• A diploma or degree in drafting, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Professional certification in CAD software is an advantage.
• Familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modeling) workflows and tools is a plus.
• Good problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to resolving issues.
• Strong organizational skills to maintain clear and concise documentation.
