ERECTION & INSTALLATION MANAGER

We are looking for an experienced Erection & Installation Manager to lead precast concrete erection and installation activities at a large construction project site. The candidate will be responsible for planning and executing installation of precast structural components, managing heavy lifting operations, coordinating cranes and lifting equipment, supervising site erection teams, and ensuring safe, timely, and quality execution. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge of crane operations, heavy lifts, rigging arrangements, lifting

plans, and precast structural installation.

Key Responsibilities

Precast Erection & Installation

Manage erection and installation of precast concrete components, including columns, beams, wall panels, slabs, and other structural elements.

Plan the installation sequence in coordination with project planning, production, logistics, and civil engineering teams.

Ensure components are installed according to approved drawings, method statements, specifications, and project schedules.

Supervise alignment, positioning, temporary bracing, connections, and final fixing of precast components.

Heavy Lifting & Crane Management

Plan and supervise heavy-lifting operations for large and heavy precast components.

Select appropriate cranes based on component weight, lifting radius, height, site conditions, and crane capacity.

Demonstrate a deep understanding of mobile cranes, crawler cranes, lifting equipment, rigging arrangements, and lifting accessories.

Review lifting plans, crane load charts, lifting points, rigging requirements, and ground-bearing conditions with competent technical and safety personnel.

Coordinate crane positioning, lifting sequences, and movement of components within the site.

Ensure lifting operations follow approved procedures and applicable safety requirements.

Site Execution & Team Management

Lead site engineers, erection supervisors, riggers, crane operators, and installation teams.

Monitor daily erection targets and ensure work progresses according to the project schedule.

Coordinate with production and logistics teams to ensure the correct components arrive in the required sequence.

Resolve site execution issues and coordinate manpower, cranes, tools, and equipment requirements.

Safety, Quality & Compliance

Ensure compliance with site safety procedures, permit-to-work requirements, and approved lifting plans.

Verify that lifting equipment and accessories are inspected and suitable for the intended lift.

Ensure safe exclusion zones, communication, and coordination during lifting operations.

Coordinate quality checks for alignment, levels, connections, grouting, and structural stability.

Stop and escalate unsafe lifting or erection activities and ensure corrective actions are taken.

Planning & Reporting

Prepare daily and weekly erection plans and monitor actual progress against targets.

Track productivity, crane utilization, manpower deployment, delays, and installation quality.

Coordinate with project management and planning teams to resolve bottlenecks.

Maintain daily progress reports and records of lifting and erection activities.

Requirements

B.Tech in Civil Engineering.

Approximately 15 years of relevant experience in precast erection, structural installation, or major construction projects.

Strong practical experience in heavy lifts and crane operations.

Deep understanding of crane capacity, load charts, lifting radius, rigging, lifting accessories, and lift planning.

Experience supervising erection teams and coordinating with production, logistics, planning, and safety teams.

Experience in onshore projects only, as specified by the client.

Strong leadership, communication, planning, and problem-solving skills.
