Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Node.js Backend Developer with experience in building scalable, real-time backend applications and integrating communication platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, REST APIs, asynchronous processing, and real-time communication technologies.

You will be responsible for developing and maintaining backend services, integrating VoIP platforms such as Asterisk and Twilio, and building real-time streaming capabilities and monitoring dashboards.

Requirements

Mandatory Skills:

• Core: Node.js 20 LTS, TypeScript
  

• REST API: NestJS (or Fastify)
  

• Asterisk Integration: Community ari-client (Node)
  

• Twillio API/applications/similar  experience/exposure
  

• Data Layer: Redis (ioredis), MariaDB (Prisma/TypeORM)
  

• Asynchronous Processing: Experience in Natively (via the event loop) handles ARI/events/webhooks in a unified manner
  

• WebSocket/Media Processing: ws / uWebSockets.js: supports for real-time streaming
  

• Experience in building naturally extensible  operations/monitoring dashboard built with Next.js
  

Secondary/Good to have skill:

• Experience developing VoIP, telephony, contact center, or communication-based applications.
  

• Hands-on experience with Asterisk PBX, ARI, call control, and call lifecycle management.
  

• Experience with Twilio Programmable Voice or similar communication APIs.
  

• Familiarity with audio streaming, media processing, and real-time event handling.
  

• Experience building monitoring dashboards using Next.js.
  

• Knowledge of Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-based deployments.
  

• Experience with application logging, metrics, alerting, and production troubleshooting.
  

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js 20 LTS and TypeScript.
  

• Build robust REST APIs using NestJS or Fastify.
  

• Integrate Asterisk PBX systems using the Asterisk REST Interface (ARI) and the Node.js ari-client library.
  

• Develop and maintain integrations with Twilio APIs, applications, or similar communication platforms.
  

• Implement real-time event processing for ARI events, webhooks, and other asynchronous operations using Node.js event-driven architecture.
  

• Design and manage data storage and caching solutions using Redis and MariaDB.
  

• Implement database access and ORM-based data management using Prisma or TypeORM.
  

• Develop WebSocket-based communication and real-time streaming capabilities using ws or uWebSockets.js.
  

• Build an extensible operations and monitoring dashboard using Next.js to support real-time system visibility, monitoring, and operational management.
  

• Ensure application performance, reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
  

• Troubleshoot technical issues, optimize backend performance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable solutions.
  

Qualification and Work Experience

●       Qualifications - Must Have

    Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

●          Certifications- Desired

   Relevant certifications in related fields will be considered an added advantage.

●      Work Experience

    3–5 years of hands-on front-end development experience.

                      Strong problem-solving skills, Analytical skills with attention to detail and a growth mindset.
