We are currently recruiting a Cath Lab Radiographer for a Hospital in Cork, Ireland.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures within the Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory (Cath Lab).
- Assist cardiologists and the multidisciplinary team during cardiac and vascular procedures.
- Prepare and operate specialised Cath Lab imaging equipment safely and efficiently.
- Ensure radiation safety standards are maintained for patients, staff, and visitors.
- Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures, reporting any concerns promptly.
- Maintain accurate imaging records, patient documentation, and procedural data.
- Support infection prevention and control practices within the Cath Lab environment.
- Participate in equipment quality assurance, maintenance checks, and service improvement initiatives.
- Provide guidance and support to junior radiographers and other team members when required.
- Work collaboratively with consultants, nurses, physiologists, and healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care and efficient service delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Radiography Degree or equivalent qualification.
- Current CORU registration is essential.
- Relevant experience working as a Cath Lab Radiographer.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexible and adaptable approach to work within a dynamic clinical environment.
- Strong commitment to quality, patient safety, and best clinical practice.
- Ability to prioritise and deliver a high standard of patient care at all times.
- High level of clinical and technical competency in Cath Lab procedures and imaging equipment.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
