Operations Transformation Director — Industrial

We are conducting a confidential search for an Operations Transformation Director to lead large-scale operational transformation within a major industrial organization. This is a high-impact, director-level opportunity based in Manchester on a hybrid model for a senior operations leader who will drive end-to-end transformation of manufacturing, supply chain, and operational processes.

In this role, you will define and execute the operations transformation strategy, encompassing lean manufacturing, Industry 4.0 adoption, supply chain optimization, and operational excellence across multiple sites. You will lead cross-functional transformation programs from diagnostic through implementation, delivering measurable improvements in cost, quality, safety, and throughput.

You will oversee the deployment of digital manufacturing technologies including IoT, MES, digital twins, and advanced analytics to drive smart factory initiatives. You will redesign end-to-end supply chain processes, implement S&OP frameworks, and optimize procurement and logistics operations. You will build and lead high-performing transformation teams, manage change across complex stakeholder landscapes, and establish governance frameworks to sustain improvements.
