We are Hiring a Staff Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab for our Hospital client in Dublin.

This is a Full time/Part time, Permanent

Responsibilities

Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care to patients before, during, and after cardiac catheterisation and interventional cardiology procedures.

Prepare patients for diagnostic and interventional procedures, including assessment, patient education, consent verification, and pre-procedure care.

Assist Cardiologists and the multidisciplinary team during cardiac catheterisation, angioplasty (PCI), pacemaker insertion, and other invasive cardiac procedures.

Continuously monitor patients' haemodynamic status, cardiac rhythm, and vital signs, promptly identifying and responding to clinical changes or emergencies.

Administer medications, intravenous therapies, and conscious sedation in accordance with hospital policies and medical directives.

Maintain a sterile environment, ensure the safe handling of specialised equipment, and adhere to infection prevention and radiation safety protocols.

Provide post-procedure care, including haemostasis management, monitoring for complications, pain management, and discharge education.

Accurately document patient assessments, procedures, medications, and nursing interventions in accordance with professional and legal standards.

Collaborate effectively with cardiologists, nurses, radiographers, and allied healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and positive clinical outcomes.

Participate in quality improvement initiatives, mandatory training, continuing professional development, and comply with hospital policies, health and safety regulations, and professional standards.

Requirements

Current NMBI registration and PIN on the General Division, with a minimum of 2 years’ post-registration acute hospital experience.
Proven Cardiac Cath Lab experience gained in an Irish or UK healthcare setting, with a relevant cardiac qualification or validated speciality course.
Demonstrated clinical and professional competence, with strong communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills.
Good IT proficiency, including practical experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Competency in English and completion of an Advanced Life Support (ALS) course.
