About the Role
Seeking a visionary Senior Vice President, Corporate Development, M&A and Strategy to spearhead corporate growth, mergers and acquisitions, capital allocation, and long-term value creation for PureSky Energy across North America.
In this executive leadership role, you will partner directly with the CEO and Board of Directors to drive PureSky's next phase of expansion—targeting 500 MW to 1 GW of owned and operated assets while establishing the company as a premier consolidator in community solar, distributed generation, and energy storage. You will oversee all aspects of corporate development, transaction execution, capital markets strategy, investment governance, and post-merger integration.
Key Responsibilities
Corporate Strategy & Board Advisory: Serve as key advisor to the CEO and Board on growth roadmaps, capital allocation, consolidation trends, and strategic financing alternatives.
M&A Execution & Consolidation: Lead end-to-end M&A activities—including transaction sourcing, diligence, financial valuation, contract negotiations, structuring, and closing for platform acquisitions, project portfolios, and corporate carve-outs.
Capital Planning & Underwriting: Build and maintain multi-year capital deployment models; evaluate corporate capital raises, joint ventures, preferred equity, tax equity, and growth equity structures to support reaching portfolio milestones (e.g., 750 MW+).
Investment Governance: Author Board decks, Investment Committee memoranda, and financial models (DCF, IRR, ROIC, sensitivity analysis); present recommendations directly to executive leadership, lenders, and investors.
Industry Relationships: Source and cultivate high-level partnerships with developers, infrastructure funds, utilities, tax equity providers, lenders, and advisors.
Risk & Project Evaluation: Assess technical, financial, and regulatory risks across development assets, interconnection queues, power purchase agreements (PPAs), subscriber portfolios, and battery energy storage systems (BESS).
Integration & Organizational Leadership: Lead the post-acquisition integration office to seamlessly onboard acquired platforms, operational teams, and asset portfolios; mentor and grow a high-performing corporate development and strategy team.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
Professional Experience:
Minimum of 15 years of experience in corporate development, M&A, renewable energy, infrastructure investing, private equity, investment banking, or project finance.
Minimum of 7–10 years of direct renewable energy transaction experience, with substantial focus on community solar, distributed generation, and energy storage.
Transaction Leadership: Proven track record leading complex corporate acquisitions, platform roll-ups, portfolio buyouts, and joint ventures within clean energy.
Capital Markets & Underwriting: In-depth expertise in project finance modeling, debt structuring, tax equity, corporate capital raises, and underwriting standards.
Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of community solar economics, subscriber acquisition/management models, state-level regulatory programs, interconnection, EPC frameworks, Investment Tax Credits (ITC), and supply chain compliance (including FEOC standards).
Executive Presence: Extensive experience preparing materials for and presenting to Boards of Directors, Investment Committees, and institutional investors.
Desired Qualifications
Master of Business Administration (MBA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, or advanced technical/financial credentials.
Hands-on leadership in post-acquisition integration, platform optimization, and organizational scaling.
Expertise in solar-plus-storage optimization and emerging merchant/ancillary market revenue models for BESS.
Benefits & Compensation

Comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance (effective the first of the month following the start date)
