Senior Duty Manager – Luxury Safari Lodge

Salary: R23,000 per month, potentially negotiable up to R24,000

Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced and professional Senior Duty Manager to join a luxury safari lodge. This is an urgent opportunity for a dedicated hospitality professional with strong leadership abilities, excellent guest relations skills and the ability to oversee daily lodge operations while maintaining exceptional service standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily lodge operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery across all departments.
  

• Supervise and support staff, maintaining high standards of professionalism and guest service.
  

• Manage guest arrivals, departures, requests and complaints with care and efficiency.
  

• Coordinate with housekeeping, food and beverage, kitchen and other departments to ensure seamless operations.
  

• Conduct operational checks to ensure the property maintains its luxury standards.
  

• Assist with staff scheduling, briefings and performance management.
  

• Monitor guest feedback and implement improvements where necessary.
  

• Support lodge management with administrative duties, reporting and operational planning.
  

• Ensure compliance with health, safety and operational procedures.
  

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a senior duty management or supervisory role within a luxury lodge, hotel or similar hospitality environment.
  

• Strong leadership and team management skills.
  

• Excellent communication and guest relations abilities.
  

• A hands-on approach with exceptional attention to detail.
  

• Ability to multitask, solve problems and remain calm under pressure.
  

• Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  

• A professional, guest-focused attitude and passion for hospitality.
  

• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and public holidays as required.
  

• Availability to take up the position urgently will be advantageous.
