Junior Software Developer, Integrations

Role Overview
We have started an integration project for a manufacturer with plants in Germany, and more projects like it will follow. For that work we are hiring a Junior Software Developer, Integrations. You will build and test the connections that move orders, master data and status updates between business applications, and decide with us what happens when a transfer fails. It is a full-time role you can do from home anywhere in Germany. The team is in Chicago, seven hours behind, so expect a few calls in your late afternoon.

Who We Are
ResolveOps builds and repairs the connections between business applications, and the workflows and reports that depend on them. Head office in Chicago, a growing team in Germany.

The Work Itself

1. Write integration code and scripts that call REST APIs and move data between systems.
2. Map fields between source and target systems and document the rules.
3. Handle duplicates, updates and failed transfers, and log what happened.
4. Write automated tests and reconcile samples of transferred records.
5. Prepare runbooks so client teams can operate the connection.

To Be Considered

• A degree in computer science or a related field, or training as Fachinformatiker Anwendungsentwicklung.
• Programming in Python, Java, C# or JavaScript, whether at university, in an internship or at work.
• Basic SQL, REST APIs and JSON.

Extra points for Git and a CI tool like GitHub Actions or GitLab CI; or an integration platform such as MuleSoft, Boomi or Azure Logic Apps.
