The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Centre Director / Nominated Supervisor to lead the day-to-day operations of a well-established and highly respected early learning service in Gosford. This is a full-time leadership opportunity for a confident, people-focused leader who can effectively manage centre operations, team leadership, compliance, family relationships and quality outcomes.

The service has established a strong reputation within the local community and is well regarded across regional childcare comparison platforms.

About the Role

As the Centre Director / Nominated Supervisor, you will:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the centre, including staffing, ratios, rosters, budgets and parent communication
  
• Ensure the service operates in compliance with the National Quality Framework, National Law and Education and Care Services National Regulations
  
• Maintain a strong child-safe culture and high standards of supervision, health and safety
  
• Lead, support and develop the 2IC, Educational Leader, Room Leaders and educator team
  
• Manage recruitment, induction, performance management, staff development and retention
  
• Oversee staffing levels, permanent rosters, qualifications and regulatory requirements
  
• Build strong, professional relationships with children, families and the local community
  
• Monitor occupancy, enrolments, enquiries and centre tours and actively support centre growth
  
• Lead the Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) and maintain ongoing Assessment and Rating readiness
  
• Support curriculum implementation aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
  
• Ensure compliance with child protection, health and safety requirements
  
• Foster a positive, collaborative and supportive team culture
  

Essential Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must have:

• Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care as a minimum
  
• A Bachelor of Early Childhood Education is highly desirable
  
• Previous experience as a Centre Director / Nominated Supervisor (3+ years' experience is preferred)
  
• Strong knowledge of the EYLF, NQS, National Law and Education and Care Services National Regulations
  
• Demonstrated experience with Assessment and Rating and Quality Improvement Plans
  
• Proven leadership and team management skills
  
• Strong ability to build and maintain a stable, positive and high-performing team environment
  
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  
• Current NSW Working With Children Check
  
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis, Food Safety and Child Protection training
  
• Willingness to complete a National Police Check
  
• Australian Citizenship, Permanent Residency or a valid Australian working visa with full working rights
