Insurance Operations Associate

Overview
Between first notice and payment, a claim passes through several people, and every hand-off can add a delay. Our Insurance Operations Associate works on our projects for insurance carriers and agencies, reviewing claims and policy files with the project team to find where cases slow down or go wrong. The position is full-time and remote from anywhere in the United States.

Your Part in it

1. Review samples of claims and policy files and record how each case was handled.
2. Map underwriting and claims workflows, including hand-offs and approval steps.
3. Measure cycle times, reopen rates and error rates from client data.
4. Check files against the client's procedures and state rules, and note the gaps.
5. Prepare tables and charts for client reports and steering committee papers.
6. Take notes in interviews with adjusters, underwriters and service teams.
7. Keep the project's document and data request log up to date.

You will work with the consultants and the project lead on each engagement, and with claims and underwriting managers on the client side.

What We're Looking for

• Experience in insurance, claims, underwriting support or a similar operations role, internships included.
• Experience reviewing files, contracts or case notes.
• Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
