The bit about us

We’re Hyve, a global events company that does things differently.

Our events deliver game-changing impact for people, businesses and beyond. That might mean winning a major contract, securing transformational investment, getting on the shelves of a giant retailer or hearing from thought leaders who are changing the future. The purpose of every one of our events is to bring the people who power major industries together – and open a world of potential.

At the same time, we’re using our events as platforms for progress, to drive the conversation across the world’s biggest industries on crucial topics like sustainability, diversity and ethical business.

These moments can change lives. And making those connections motivates us every single day.

But creating those human connections doesn’t just happen at our events. It’s part of everyday life when you work at Hyve. There are all sorts of socials, inclusion workshops and professional development opportunities to get your teeth into. And then there are the benefits. From gym memberships to private medical care, season ticket loans to healthy pensions, we’ve got you covered in all kinds of ways. (We’ll even give you an extra day off on your birthday!)

The bit about you

First of all, whatever your background and whatever your beliefs, there’s a culture of belonging here at Hyve and everyone is welcome. The question isn’t where you are from – it’s where you want to go.

We’re a positive bunch and if you’re a “glass half full” kind of person you’ll fit right in. Our values are brilliant work, fresh thinking, rich connections, and collective buzz. And just to be clear, these aren’t just words we put on the walls and forget about. They pull everyone together and help us all produce work that we’re proud to put our names to. If that resonates with you, great: we’re on the same page.

The bit about the division

Global Ventures is Hyve’s dedicated accelerator unit which launches new events and supercharges new ventures. This is where event launches are born and new products are accelerated, powered by obsessive customer focus, rapid experimentation, simple decision-making and entrepreneurial energy. We're small, fast and allergic to unnecessary process. We’re a small, fast-moving team, so a substantial part of your role will evolve beyond this job description; you’ll be trusted to take ownership, make decisions and tackle whatever your event needs to succeed.

The bit about the role

This is a great opportunity to play a key part in delivering and shaping POSSIBLE Europe as it grows into a distinctive new event. You’ll take ownership from early planning through to onsite delivery and post-event review, bringing together its venues, programme, audience and experiences in practical, creative ways.

The role spans operational planning, budget control, supplier and sponsor partnerships, and making sure the event is delivered safely, smoothly and to a high standard. You’ll work closely with teams across the business to turn ideas into commercially strong experiences, including bespoke sponsor activations.

As POSSIBLE Europe develops, you’ll need to be adaptable and comfortable responding to changing needs, while spotting opportunities to improve how the event works.

Key responsibilities

Event Delivery & Operations

  • Own the end-to-end operational delivery of POSSIBLE Europe, from planning and development  through to onsite delivery and post-event review, ensuring it is delivered on time, within budget  and to Hyve’s standards.
  • Lead the planning and delivery of the full POSSIBLE Europe programme, including its fringe  activity, covering operational plans, budgets, risk management, health and safety, compliance  and onsite execution.
  • Develop and manage the POSSIBLE Europe budget, monitoring commitments and actual spend,  maintaining accurate forecasts, controlling costs and escalating variances or financial risks  promptly.
  • Think creatively about how to bring POSSIBLE Europe’s new style of event to life, developing  practical, distinctive ways to connect its venues, programme, audience and experiences.
  • Build strong relationships with key suppliers and partners, driving performance, innovation, value  for money and high-quality delivery across all operational areas.
  • Coordinate operations across project areas and keep stakeholder communications,  documentation, trackers and reporting accurate and up to date.
  • Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Content and Commercial teams to shape solutions that are  both commercially successful and operationally deliverable.
  • Bring fresh thinking to sponsor partnerships, working with sponsors and internal teams to create  bespoke activations that fit the POSSIBLE Europe experience, meet sponsor objectives and  deliver measurable return on investment.
  • Track the delivery and performance of sponsorship commitments, helping ensure activations are  fulfilled, their impact is understood and opportunities for improvement are identified.
  • Ensure POSSIBLE Europe is planned and delivered in line with Hyve’s health and safety and  security policies, applicable legislation, venue requirements and recognised industry standards.  Oversee risk assessments, safety plans, supplier compliance and onsite monitoring, addressing  issues and escalating risks as needed.
  • Drive continuous improvement across operational processes, sponsorship delivery, customer  experience and POSSIBLE Europe’s overall performance.

Leadership & Continuous Improvement

  • Line manage, coach and develop junior members of the Operations team.
  • Build a collaborative, high-performing team culture based on ownership, accountability and  continuous learning.
  • Foster a proactive culture of health, safety and wellbeing across the POSSIBLE Europe team,  suppliers and partners. Promote safe working practices, encourage people to raise concerns,  ensure compliance with Hyve policies and relevant legislation, and lead by example.
  • Review processes and ways of working, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency,  consistency and delivery.
  • Share best practice and lessons learned from POSSIBLE Europe to support operational  excellence across the business.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies and sustainability initiatives,  bringing forward ideas that support innovation and business growth.

Skills & Experience

  • At least 5 years’ experience delivering large-scale exhibitions, conferences or B2B events, with  the ability to take ownership from early planning through onsite delivery and post-event review.
  • Proven experience leading complex operational projects, coordinating multiple workstreams  and managing suppliers, partners and senior stakeholders.
  • Strong budget management skills, including building and monitoring budgets, forecasting,  controlling costs and reporting on financial performance.
  • A sound understanding of health and safety requirements, risk management and compliance,  with experience applying relevant legislation, venue rules and industry standards. An IOSH  qualification is desirable.
  • Experience working with commercial teams and sponsors to develop bespoke activations,  balance creative ideas with operational requirements, and assess results against sponsor  objectives and ROI.
  • Creative thinking and a practical, solutions-focused approach, with the ability to shape fresh  ideas into distinctive and deliverable experiences for POSSIBLE Europe.
  • Strong supplier management, negotiation and relationship-building skills, with a focus on  performance, quality and value for money.
  • The confidence to make decisions, influence others and take accountability for delivering agreed  outcomes.
  • Experience supporting or managing colleagues, with the ability to coach others and build a  collaborative, accountable team culture.
  • Excellent project management, organisational and communication skills, with strong attention  to detail.
  • Willingness to travel and work flexibly. (International travel is required.)
