Job Description – Accountant

Educational Institution, Alipore (Kolkata)

Position: Accountant

Location: Alipore, Kolkata
Salary Range: ₹15,000 – ₹20,000 per month
Work Timings: 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle day‑to‑day accounting operations including fee collections, payroll, and vendor payments.
  

• Prepare and maintain financial statements, ledgers, and reports.
  

• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, taxation, and support audits.
  

• Monitor budgets and assist in financial planning.
  

• Maintain accurate records using Tally, Tally Prime, and MS Excel.
  

Candidate Requirements

• Graduate in Commerce/Accounting (B.Com or equivalent).
  

• 1–3 years of relevant accounting experience preferred.
  

• Strong knowledge of Tally, Tally Prime, taxation, and related accounting practices.
  

• Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Excel.
  

• Detail‑oriented with strong analytical and communication skills.
  

Candidates preferred from nearby locations like Judges court road, Alipore, New Alipore, Behala, Chetla, Sarat Bose Road & Bhawanipore
