Senior MES Project Manager

GeekSoft Consulting is seeking a seasoned Senior MES Project Manager to join our consulting practice in Bengaluru. In this pivotal role, you will lead complex, end-to-end Manufacturing Execution System (MES) build, integration, and implementation projects across live shop-floor and production environments. You will bridge the gap between business leadership, OT/IT engineering teams, and strategic technology vendors to ensure flawless project delivery, operational continuity, and digital transformation value realization.

Requirements

1. Digital Manufacturing & MES Transformation ManagementMES & Shop-Floor Integration:

• Lead end-to-end MES software evaluation, selection, solution architecture alignment, operational roll-outs, and continuous integration across global plant facilities.  Industry 4.0 & Smart Factory Roadmaps: Define and execute enterprise digital manufacturing roadmaps, driving shop-floor process optimization, automation, and operational technology modernization. 
  
• Regulated Production Standards: Ensure full compliance with GAMP 5 standards, FDA regulations, ISO 13485 (Medical Device quality standards), and ISO 27001 cybersecurity frameworks during system implementations.
  

2. Program Delivery, Enterprise Architecture & SAP GovernanceEnterprise Application Integration:

• Direct complex cross-functional integrations between shop-floor automation systems (MES/SCADA), Enterprise ERPs (SAP), PLM/PDM platforms, and Cloud/IAM infrastructure (Azure DevOps, ServiceNow). 
  
• Project Portfolio & Risk Management: Establish governance frameworks, resource management processes, stage-gate controls, and risk mitigation strategies for multi-million dollar global IT project portfolios. 
  
• Executive & Vendor Alignment: Serve as the primary liaison aligning international business stakeholders, plant directors, internal engineering teams, and strategic technology vendors. 
  

Required Qualifications & Background

• Experience & Expertise15+ to 20+ years of overall experience in Manufacturing IT, IT-OT integration, Enterprise Applications, and IT Portfolio Management. 
  
• Proven track record leading complex IT/OT transformation projects within regulated manufacturing environments (e.g., Medical Devices, Life Sciences, Automotive, or Industrial High-Tech). 
  
• Hands-on experience leading MES software selection, evaluation, and production rollout alongside SAP ecosystem integrations. 
  
• Demonstrated ability to manage multi-disciplinary, multi-site project teams across global locations. 
  

Languages & Technical Skills

• Languages: Business fluent in English (required) and German (Required/ preferred for stakeholder management).
  
• Manufacturing & ERP: MES, SAP Ecosystems, PLM/PDM, BPMN, UML, Operational Excellence.
  
• Compliance & Security: GAMP 5, FDA Regulations, ISO 13485, ISO 27001, Data Privacy (GDPR).
  
• Certifications (Preferred): IPMA Level C/B, PMP, ITIL Foundation, Enterprise Architecture (TOGAF/EA).
  
• Tooling & Infrastructure: Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence, SQL/Oracle, Active Directory / Entra ID, Docker/Kubernetes.
