Field Sales Assistants -with Matric

FM Marketing SA is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Sales Assistant to support daily sales activities and help create a positive customer experience. This role is well suited to someone at the beginning of their career who enjoys working with people, learning about products, and contributing to team success.

As a Sales Assistant, you will help customers feel welcomed, supported, and confident in their purchasing decisions. You will also play an important part in maintaining an organized, professional, and customer-ready sales environment.

Key Responsibilities

Welcome customers in a friendly, professional, and approachable manner

Assist customers with product information, pricing, and availability

Understand customer needs and recommend suitable products or services

Support the sales team in working toward daily and monthly sales goals

Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently

Respond to customer questions and resolve basic concerns helpfully and professionally

Maintain clean, organized, and visually appealing sales displays and work areas

Work Environment

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Roodepoort, Johannesburg, South Africa. The position involves regular interaction with customers and colleagues in a professional sales setting.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent

Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills

Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Good customer service skills

Basic numeracy and confidence in handling transactions

Ability to work well as part of a team

Good organizational skills and attention to detail

Reliable, punctual, and professional in conduct

Ability to work on-site in Roodepoort, Johannesburg

Nice to Have

Previous retail, customer service, or sales experience

Familiarity with point-of-sale systems

Confidence in promoting products and engaging with customers

Additional local language skills
