Front End / Product Engineer (React, TypeScript) – NYC / Remote

Major Scale is a boutique search firm and talent advisory. We work with early-to-growth stage tech companies, helping them build teams without the usual recruiting noise, hyperbole, or pressure.

Right now, we are partnering with a few tech companies—ranging from AI and developer platforms to B2B SaaS—that are actively hiring Front End and Design Engineers

We have active roles available for both NYC-based candidates (on-site/hybrid) as well as fully remote US-based candidates.

What You’ll Work On:

• Core Front-End Engineering: Build responsive, accessible, and clean user interfaces using React, TypeScript, and Next.js.

• Product Ownership: Partner directly with founders, product managers, and design leads to turn early ideas into usable, stable product features.

• Architecture & UI Systems: Help establish or improve front-end patterns, state management, reusable component libraries, and API integration.

• Iteration & Maintenance: Ship updates regularly, refactor technical debt when appropriate, and ensure high application performance and responsiveness.

What We’re Looking For:

• 2+ years of professional software engineering experience centered on modern front-end development. We have mid-level through staff roles open

• Strong, practical working knowledge of TypeScript, React, and Next.js (or similar modern frameworks).

• A genuine interest in product quality, design details, and end-user usability.

• Comfort working in small, fast-moving engineering teams or early-stage environments where guidelines aren't always predefined.

• Experience integrating with REST/GraphQL APIs (backend familiarity with Node.js or Python is a plus, but not required).

Compensation & Details:

• Base Salary Range: $160,000 – $260,000+ per year (varying based on candidate experience level and specific company stage).

• Equity: Meaningful equity/stock options are included 

• Work Location: Options available for NYC In-Person/Hybrid or 100% US-based Remote.
