A major financial services provider based in the sector is currently dealing with significant friction in their internal interfaces. As a Frontend Development Intern, your job is to help us smooth out these interfaces so their team can stop fighting the tools and start doing their jobs. You will be working directly on the seams where different banking systems meet, ensuring that data is displayed clearly and that internal users are not blocked by broken navigation or confusing layouts. This is a fully remote position where you will spend your time fixing real problems rather than just building prototypes that never see the light of day. We focus on the daily drag that holds teams back, and in this role, you will be part of the technical team that removes those obstacles.
About Tech Pipeline
We do not believe in endless meetings or abstract strategy. We use weekly written updates and a clear decision log to keep everyone aligned without wasting time. Our goal is to fix the problem, document the solution, and hand it back to the client in a stable state. Once their team can run the new system without us, we step away. We expect everyone, including our interns, to contribute to the record of what was changed and why. We focus on the work that matters, ensuring every update serves a clear purpose in reducing operational drag for the client.
About Tech Pipeline
- We target the specific friction that slows companies down.
- We fix broken approval chains, manual reconciliations, and systems that do not talk to each other.
- We bridge the gap between the software a company already owns and the work that actually needs to happen.
- We focus on specific routing rules, consolidating drifting backlogs, and updating stale SOPs.
- We stay through the cutover and the first month of live operation to ensure the fix holds.
- We believe the tool the client already owns is usually the right place for the fix.
- We value clear documentation, named ownership, and plain English in every project.
- Update and clean up stale CSS and HTML in internal dashboards to reduce operational drag.
- Fix UI bugs that lead to data entry errors or slow down internal processing times.
- Collaborate with engineers to ensure frontend logic matches updated backend routing rules.
- Review logs and user feedback to identify exactly where users are getting stuck in the interface.
- Help draft and update technical runbooks for new interface components.
- Assist in the cutover process during live operations for our financial services client.
- Implement small, incremental changes to improve the clarity of complex data displays.
- Ensure all new code follows our standards for plain English comments and clear documentation.
- Foundational knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript from your studies or personal projects.
- A habit of checking your work against a browser console to find errors and performance issues.
- Interest in how internal business systems work under the hood rather than just how they look.
- Ability to read a technical SOP and follow the steps accurately without skipping details.
- Strong writing skills for creating clear, no-nonsense documentation.
- The discipline to work effectively in a fully remote environment.
- Willingness to ask questions when a process or a piece of code does not match the documentation.
- Basic familiarity with Git or other version control tools to manage code updates.
- This is a paid internship with a competitive rate for the role and market.
- Direct experience working on a high stakes project for a major financial services provider.
- The chance to see your code go live and solve actual problems for professional users.
- A work culture that values finishing projects and moving on to the next challenge.
- Complete flexibility through a fully remote work model that respects your time.
- Exposure to how technical operations and system integrations work in a professional setting.
- A professional environment free from unnecessary corporate jargon and abstract frameworks.
