Make Someone’s Weekend – Join Our Volunteer Team!
Looking for a meaningful way to spend your weekend? The HammondCare Volunteer Program offers a special opportunity to bring joy, connection, and companionship to older people in the Hunter community.
Whether you love sports, art, gardening, pets, baking, yoga, music, movies, or simply a good chat over coffee—you can share your passions with someone who’ll truly appreciate them.
As a Weekend Volunteer Social Visitor, you’ll spend time one-on-one or in small groups with residents in Aged Care, offering genuine connection and heartfelt moments that brighten their day—and yours.
Give just a little of your weekend, and make a lasting difference to someone’s life.
Please note: Volunteer interviews and Orientation must take place on a weekday during business hours.
Your impact
Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.
