Are you a dynamic hospitality professional with a passion for luxury safari tourism, business development and exceptional guest experiences?

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Operations Manager overseeing a prestigious luxury safari lodge in Uganda.

This is more than a traditional operations role! We are looking for a commercially minded hospitality leader who can drive lodge operations, elevate luxury standards, generate new business and build valuable relationships within the international travel market.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Operations & Lodge Management

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the luxury safari lodge.
  

• Ensure exceptional guest experiences and world-class service delivery.
  

• Drive operational efficiency and maintain hospitality standards.
  

• Identify opportunities to enhance the overall guest offering.
  

Sales & Business Development

• Proactively identify and secure new business opportunities.
  

• Manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation and client engagement through to negotiations and deal closure.
  

• Develop and maintain relationships with international travel partners, tour operators and high-end travel networks.
  

• Drive occupancy, revenue growth and commercial performance.
  

Marketing & Brand Development

• Promote the lodge to international luxury travel markets.
  

• Develop and implement sales and marketing initiatives.
  

• Strengthen the property's positioning within the luxury safari sector.
  

• Identify new markets and opportunities to grow the business.
  

Service & Product Development

• Continuously evaluate and improve lodge services and facilities.
  

• Elevate the overall luxury guest experience.
  

• Introduce improvements that enhance the property's competitiveness and reputation.

Requirements

• South African candidate with a strong background in luxury hospitality, safari camps, high-end resorts or luxury tourism.
  

• Previous experience in a senior lodge operations or hospitality management position.
  

• An established international client network and strong industry relationships.
  

• Proven sales and business development capabilities.
  

• Experience generating leads, negotiating and closing business.
  

• Strong commercial acumen and the ability to drive revenue.
  

• A hands-on, entrepreneurial approach to management.
  

• Excellent communication, leadership and relationship-building skills.
  

• Willingness to relocate and work in Uganda.
