About the Employer
Our client delivers engineering and construction services across transport, defence and infrastructure. Its teams combine practical project expertise with coordinated delivery and a focus on sustainable outcomes.
The Opportunity
Build your civil engineering experience on a major rail manufacturing infrastructure programme in Ormeau. Work alongside engineers and supervisors to coordinate site activities, solve construction issues and maintain reliable project records.
Your Responsibilities
- Interpret drawings and specifications and help prepare work methods and plans.
- Coordinate assigned civil work areas against safety, quality, cost and programme requirements.
- Track site progress, productivity and resources and prepare accurate reporting.
- Assist with procurement, quantities, cost tracking and supplier or subcontract administration.
- Support inspections, ITPs, RFIs, lot records, defects and non-conformance close-out.
- Work with supervisors and stakeholders to resolve practical delivery problems.
Requirements
Skills, Education and Requirements
- Engineering bachelor degree or equivalent tertiary qualification, with eligibility for Engineers Australia membership.
- Typically at least two years in construction or infrastructure.
- Experience supporting engineering scopes or construction work packages.
- Understanding of construction methods, contracts and project controls, with commercial awareness.
- Good organisation, planning and problem-solving skills.
- Accountable and collaborative approach, with confidence working independently when required.
