We are currently seeking a Surgical ICU Nurse for our client hospital in Dublin, Ireland.

Responsibilities

Provide intensive nursing care to critically ill post-surgical patients.

Monitor vital signs, neurological status, and respiratory function.

Care for ventilated and intubated patients.

Administer IV medications, blood products, and emergency drugs.

Manage patients after major surgeries

Perform wound care, infection prevention, and pain management.

Respond rapidly to emergencies and deteriorating patients.

Maintain accurate ICU documentation and nursing records.

Collaborate with surgeons, anaesthetists, physiotherapists, and multidisciplinary teams.

Support and educate patients and their families.

Requirements

Registered General Nurse qualification.

NMBI registration or eligibility for registration.

BSc Nursing preferred.

Minimum 1–2 years recent ICU/Critical Care experience.

Experience in Surgical ICU, General ICU, or Trauma ICU preferred.

Knowledge of Ventilator management, Critical care monitoring, Emergency response, Post-operative care

Strong clinical assessment skills.

Ability to work in fast-paced ICU environments.

Good communication and teamwork abilities.

ACLS/BLS certification desirable
