Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller / Cost & Variance Specialist with strong domain expertise in the Insurance sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for end-to-end financial oversight, cost management, variance analysis, and forecasting. This role ensures tight financial control, alignment with strategic operational budgets, and robust reporting across insurance financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Cost Control & Governance: Establish, monitor, and enforce cost-control frameworks across insurance business units to manage operational expenditures and claims-related cost drivers.
  

• Variance Analysis: Conduct in-depth monthly, quarterly, and annual variance analyses comparing actual financial performance against budgeted and forecasted metrics. Identify key cost drivers and potential financial risks.
  

• Financial Forecasting & Planning: Lead the forecasting process, modeling cost trends, claim reserves impact, and administrative overheads to provide accurate business forecasts to management.
  

• Financial Reporting & Accounting: Oversee daily and periodic accounting processes, ensuring compliance with relevant insurance regulatory frameworks, accounting standards, and internal control policies.
  

• Strategic Financial Insights: Partner with senior leadership and operational heads to provide financial analysis, actionable recommendations, and performance insights to optimize margins and operational efficiency.
