Mosaic Conseil
Project Control Assistant

Mosaic Conseil is a boutique remote workshop dedicated to rebuilding business artifacts one at a time. We do not produce slide decks or participate in corporate theater. Instead, we take existing pricing grids, three year plans, and diligence files, disassemble them on our bench, and reconstruct them based on the hard evidence of the invoice ledger. Our work is precise, intellectual, and backed by written arguments rather than visual fluff. We are currently focused on a significant engagement for our partner, a leading Spanish financial firm, helping them reorganize their internal project controls and financial artifacts.
About Mosaic Conseil
We operate as a small, focused team where every project is handled with a high degree of personal accountability. We maintain a deliberate size to ensure that the people doing the analysis are the same people answering the phone when a client has a question. Our firm avoids standing retainers, preferring to work on specific problems with clear endpoints. Every file we close carries two names: a builder who constructed the model and a challenger who attempted to find its flaws. This rigorous process ensures that every assumption we make is tested against reality before it reaches the client. We focus our efforts on four specific sectors: financial services, industrial networks, growing software companies, and healthcare systems.
What you would do
In this entry level role, you will assist in the daily management of project artifacts and financial data. You will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy of the invoice ledgers and ensuring that every figure in a reconstructed model can be traced back to its source document. This involves a high volume of data verification and audit work. You will help organize the documentation for our engagement with the Spanish financial firm, ensuring that all project controls are updated and that deadlines are tracked with absolute precision. You will also participate in our internal challenger process, where you will be tasked with finding errors or inconsistencies in the data sets built by other team members. This is a role for someone who finds satisfaction in the details and enjoys the process of bringing order to complex information.
Helpful background
We are looking for individuals who possess a natural curiosity for how businesses function at a granular level. You should be comfortable working with numbers and basic financial documents, though we do not expect you to be an expert on day one. Familiarity with spreadsheet software and a disciplined approach to documentation are essential. Because we are a fully remote firm, you must be someone who can manage your own schedule and maintain focus without constant supervision. We value clear, concise writing and the ability to explain a logical conclusion in plain English. This position is a permanent, full time role, and it is well suited for a recent graduate or someone early in their career who wants to learn the fundamentals of financial analysis and project control in a high stakes environment.
How we work
Our workshop is built around the concept of deep work. We do not have unscheduled meetings, and we do not use internal messaging systems to interrupt each other. Most of our communication happens through written arguments and structured reviews. We work entirely in a remote environment, which gives our team members the autonomy to structure their day for maximum focus. When we finish a project, we return the original artifact to the client, redrawn by hand and supported by a detailed written report. We also provide a telephone number that stays active for ninety days to answer any questions about the work we delivered. This ensures that we remain accountable for every model we build.
What the role offers
This is a remote position that provides the opportunity to engage in meaningful analytical work without the distractions of a traditional office. You will be given the space to develop your technical skills and learn our specific methodology for business artifact reconstruction. We offer a competitive salary that is attractive for an entry level position in the current market, along with the stability of a permanent contract. You will work directly with experienced analysts who value intellectual honesty and precise thinking. There is no corporate jargon here, only a commitment to doing the work correctly and proving our arguments with evidence. By joining our small team, you will contribute directly to high level projects for major organizations like our partner in the Spanish financial sector.
Working at Mosaic Conseil requires a commitment to the evidence found at the floor of a business. We believe that the truth of a company is found in its ledger, not in its marketing materials. If you prefer quiet, focused analysis over the noise of typical consulting, you will find our workshop to be a productive environment for your professional development.
