Schedule: Full-time, aligned with the Brisbane team’s working hours
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Revit Modeler to support technology systems for major building projects across Australia, the Middle East, and other markets.
The successful candidate will be responsible for taking engineering and technician markups, including Bluebeam documents, and translating them into accurate, coordinated 3D Revit models.
You will work directly with engineers and technicians, participate in project discussions when required, and take ownership of assigned modelling work. This role is suited to someone with established experience working on complex building projects who can contribute independently without extensive training in Revit or the sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Revit models for extra-low voltage (ELV) building systems, particularly:
- ICT systems
- Audiovisual systems
- Security systems
- ICT systems
- Translate design markups and technical direction into clear, accurate 3D models and drawings.
- Work from engineering and technician markups, including Bluebeam documents, to develop accurate models.
- Coordinate Revit models with other building disciplines.
- Identify and resolve modelling issues in collaboration with the project team.
- Communicate project progress, questions, and technical constraints directly with engineers and technicians.
- Participate confidently in internal and project meetings when modelling input is required.
- Take ownership of assigned modelling work.
- Maintain model quality and follow established project standards and workflows.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams throughout the modelling process.
Requirements
Qualifications and Required Experience
- 5+ years of professional Revit modelling experience, with strong capability in building services or technology systems.
- Demonstrated project experience in ELV systems, covering one or more of the following:
- ICT
- Audiovisual
- Security systems
- ICT
- A portfolio demonstrating experience with substantial building projects, such as:
- Hospitals
- Universities
- High-rise buildings
- Major hotels
- Hospitals
- Project experience in Australia, elsewhere in APAC, or the Middle East.
- Strong spoken and written English.
- Confidence in explaining technical work during meetings.
- Experience working from engineering markups.
- Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary project teams.
Desirable Experience
- Australian project experience.
- Experience with a major international engineering consultancy, such as WSP, GHD, AECOM, or Aurecon, or a comparable firm.
- AutoCAD proficiency.
Selection Process
Shortlisted candidates will be asked to:
- Discuss their project portfolio.
- Explain their personal contribution to the projects presented.
- Complete a practical Revit assessment, which may form part of the selection process, subject to software access.
