Garment QC (Quality Control) – Job Description

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Garment QC to ensure garments meet required quality standards, specifications, measurements, and customer requirements throughout the production process.

Key Responsibilities

- Inspect garments at different stages of production, including cutting, stitching, finishing, and packing.- Check garments for stitching defects, fabric defects, stains, holes, shade variation, and finishing issues.- Verify measurements according to approved size charts and specifications.- Conduct inline and final quality inspections.- Identify defects and coordinate with production teams for corrective action.- Prepare inspection reports and maintain quality records.- Ensure garments meet buyer specifications and quality standards.- Monitor workmanship, construction, seams, trims, labels, and accessories.- Conduct random and AQL-based inspections where applicable.- Coordinate with production, merchandising, and sampling teams to resolve quality issues.- Track recurring defects and recommend preventive measures.- Ensure proper segregation and rework of rejected/defective garments.- Support final shipment inspection and ensure quality clearance before dispatch.

- Good knowledge of garment manufacturing and quality standards.- Strong understanding of garment defects and inspection procedures.- Knowledge of AQL and quality inspection methods.- Good measurement and garment construction skills.- Strong attention to detail.- Good communication and problem-solving abilities.- Ability to work under production deadlines.

Education

Diploma / Graduate in Garment Technology, Textile Technology, Fashion Technology, or a related field preferred.

Preferred Experience

Experience in apparel manufacturing, garment export houses, buying houses, or textile industries will be preferred.
