Designation: Head - Operations (Gig Economy)

Role Summary-

The Head – Operations (Gig Economy) will be responsible for building, scaling, and managing our client's end-to-end aggregation / "Gig Economy" ecosystem. Company is in the business of providing gardener services "on-demand", with hourly booking model. Company is a fast-growing startup with a growing user base in the Delhi NCR region. 

The role involves the creation of a robust gig workforce, establish hub-and-spoke operating models, develop scalable operational processes, and ensure superior customer experience while driving business growth.

The role demands an entrepreneurial leader with experience in marketplace businesses, hyperlocal services, or gig economy platforms who can build operations from the ground up.

 

Key Responsibilities-

 1.      Product Development and Drive Operations: Participate and contribute in product development and management. Manage operations aligned to e commerce operations.

2.      Onboarding: Building and managing the digital and physical platform to grow and onboard new aggregators, partners, vendor base and ensure the entire ecosystem is developed and aligned to the defined system and processes.

 3.      Performance monitoring: Use analytics to track the performance of the aggregated platform. Develop and monitor 360 degree performance metrices requisite for the business.

 4.      Business Development Marketing and Sales strategy: Taking an active role in marketing and sales and ensure that the company's products and services are reaching the right audience and generating revenue. identifying target markets, developing pricing strategies, creating marketing campaigns, and analyzing sales data to make informed decisions about the direction of the business.

 5.      Establishing and maintaining partnerships and relationships with stakeholders: Establishing and maintaining partnerships and relationships with stakeholders, including investors, customers, suppliers, and other key players in the industry. Must have excellent stakeholder management skills, maintaining open lines of communication and building trust with all parties involved.

6.      Having Customer and Service Centric Approach: Empathetic to customer requirements and ability to build processes maintaining the customer as its nucleus.

7.   Building and leading a strong and effective team: Need to have excellent communication skills, responsible for conveying the company's vision, values, and goals to employees, investors, and stakeholders.

8.    Team Leadership

·        Build and lead high-performing operations, city, and partner management teams.

·        Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.

9.      Governance & Compliance

·        Ensure compliance with labour regulations applicable to gig workers, statutory requirements, contracts, safety standards, and company policies.

·        Establish SOPs, audit mechanisms, and operational controls.

Prerequisites:

·   Qualification: Bachelor's or master’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field.

·   Proven experience in building and scaling a Startup working in the "Gig Economy" sector.

·   Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to build and lead an effective team in a fast-faced environment.

·   Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders.

·   Understanding of business and financial markets.

·   Experience in managing e-commerce, B2C platforms catering niche services like: Aggregator Delivery platforms, D2H services

·   Knowledge of maintenance, FM services would be an added advantage.
