Contract Hours: 7.25 hrs/day, 36.25 hrs/week
Working Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:15 AM–4:30 PM Alberta time
Respond By: September 29, 2026
Contract: 841 hours; maximum extension 6 months
Background Check: Standard criminal record check required

Role Summary

The Talend Integration Platform Analyst will provide hands-on development, administration, production support, monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of the GoA Data Management Platform's enterprise integration environment. The resource will design and maintain Talend-based ETL/ELT integrations supporting databases, APIs, files, cloud platforms, analytics, reporting, and enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and support Talend Studio/Data Integration/Data Fabric solutions.
  • Develop ETL/ELT jobs, transformations, APIs, services, orchestration workflows, and reusable components.
  • Translate business/data requirements into technical designs, mappings, transformations, and reconciliation processes.
  • Build scalable batch and near-real-time integrations across databases, files, APIs, cloud platforms, and enterprise applications.
  • Administer and support Talend Management Console (TMC)/Talend Administration Center (TAC).
  • Deploy, schedule, monitor, and troubleshoot Talend jobs and platform components.
  • Install, configure, and support Talend Remote Engines, Job Servers, and runtime infrastructure.
  • Investigate production incidents, integration failures, performance issues, and data load problems; perform root-cause analysis.
  • Implement logging, monitoring, alerting, error handling, and automated recovery.
  • Support releases, upgrades, patching, environment maintenance, and deployment validation.
  • Work with infrastructure teams, vendors, data engineers, architects, application teams, and business stakeholders.
  • Apply AI and automation tools for code generation, data analysis, testing, monitoring, optimization, and documentation.


Requirements

Mandatory Qualifications

  • Post-secondary degree, diploma, or certificate in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 3+ years designing, developing, testing, and supporting enterprise integration solutions using Talend Studio.
  • 5+ years administering/supporting TMC or TAC, including deployment, scheduling, environment management, monitoring, and release promotion.
  • 3+ years installing/configuring/supporting Talend Remote Engines, Job Servers, and runtime infrastructure.
  • 2+ years providing production support for enterprise integration solutions.
  • 4+ years working within a mature SDLC, including Git, code reviews, CI/CD, testing, release and change management.
  • 1+ year using AI for code generation, data analysis, automation, and data-engineering productivity.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • 6+ years business requirements analysis involving data manipulation, transformation, cleansing, and wrangling.
  • 6+ years strong Microsoft SQL Server experience, including database design, optimization, and administration.
  • 2+ years building scalable ETL pipelines, data-quality processes, and cloud integrations using Talend.
  • 3+ years designing/integrating RESTful APIs.
  • 3+ years with message-queue technologies such as ActiveMQ and Azure Service Bus.
  • 1+ year working with ServiceNow/Azure-based Data Management Platform integrations
