We are hiring Assistant Director Of Nursing  Posts for a hospital located in Tralee, Ireland.

Applications are invited for the position of Assistant Director of Nursing for a one-year fixed term contract (Day/night Rotation)
  Responsibilities

• Ensure the maintenance of patient safety at all times.
  

• Maintenance of effective throughput of patients within the service.
  

• Ensuring that workloads are arranged in a manner that maximises the use of resources.
  

• Analysing, monitoring and forecasting trends relevant to the service
  

• Direct and active participation in service planning, implementation and evaluation in overall resource management of the service, including continuous quality audit and performance measurements
  

• Ensuring the application of best practice including the generation of action plans to continuously improve the provision of services.
  

Requirements

• Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
  

• Nursing Degree or higher qualification essential
  

• Minimum of 5 years’ post-registration nursing experience
  

• Proven clinical, professional and managerial experience at CNM2 level or higher in an acute care setting
  

• Effective leadership and communication skills
  

• Management qualification desirable
  

• Experience working in a multi-professional environment
  

• Demonstrated competence in clinical governance, audit, risk assessment, staff management, resource management and regulatory frameworks
  

• Experience in implementing service improvements
  

• Essential IT literacy
