An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Trader to join a specialist organisation operating within the precious metals sector. Based in Dubai, this role offers the chance to work at the heart of a fast-moving trading environment where commercial acumen, market insight, and strong relationship management skills are key to success. Working closely with senior leadership, the successful candidate will be responsible for executing and managing precious metals trades while identifying opportunities to maximise profitability and strengthen client relationships. The role requires daily interaction with buyers, sellers, refineries, and key stakeholders, ensuring transactions are executed efficiently, accurately, and in line with both regulatory requirements and company objectives. You will monitor global market trends and live trading platforms, analyse pricing movements, negotiate trading agreements, and manage customer margins to ensure profitable outcomes. The position also involves overseeing holding positions, monitoring risk exposure, maintaining liquidity, and accurately recording trades, fixings, swaps, and related transactions within the company's trading and ERP systems. Alongside the commercial aspects of the role, you will work closely with Finance, Compliance, and Operations teams to coordinate import and export activities, manage metal flows, and ensure all trading activities adhere to DMCC regulations, UAE legislation, and international best practices.
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of five years' experience within precious metals trading, commodities trading, bullion markets, or a similar sector. You will demonstrate strong commercial acumen, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to make informed decisions in a rapidly changing market environment. A thorough understanding of market risk, trading processes, import and export procedures, and regulatory compliance is essential, together with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to build lasting relationships with clients and industry partners.
