Position Overview

The Warehouse Manufacturing Associate is responsible for the accurate and efficient handling and preparation of raw materials used in production. This is a hands-on role that combines warehouse and manufacturing responsibilities, including material handling, weighing, labeling, documentation, equipment operation, and maintaining a clean and organized work area.

The position plays an important role in keeping production supplied with the correct materials while following established procedures for safety, quality, and efficiency.

What You'll Do

Handle and prepare raw materials and bulk ingredients for production.

Break down bulk materials and accurately weigh and label materials according to recipe and SOP requirements.

Verify materials and documentation to help ensure the correct materials are prepared for production.

Accurately record lot numbers, weights, and labels to maintain inventory accuracy and proper allocation of materials.

Work efficiently to minimize waste and maintain production flow.

Follow procedures designed to prevent foreign material from entering products during material preparation.

Maintain a clean, organized work area by following clean-as-you-go practices.

Safely operate manual and/or electric pallet jacks after completing required plant certification.

Safely operate equipment as needed.

Safely use knives to open packaging when necessary.

Meet individual KPI (Key Performance Indicator) expectations.

Attend training provided in relation to the position.

Assist with training new employees within the department when needed.

Perform other responsibilities requiring similar skills and working conditions as assigned.

Raw Material Handling

A major part of this position involves preparing raw materials for production. This includes:

Receiving materials for preparation and production use.

Breaking down bulk materials.

Weighing materials accurately.

Labeling materials correctly.

Recording lot numbers and weights.

Ensuring materials are properly allocated for production.

Handling materials safely and efficiently.

Safety & Quality Responsibilities

Safety and accuracy are essential to this position. Employees are expected to:

Complete required paperwork accurately and honestly.

Follow all established GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).

Follow all company food safety and employee safety policies.

Follow applicable allergen control programs and procedures.

Report suspicious packages, activities, or individuals.

When responsible for monitoring CCPs (Critical Control Points), follow the approved HACCP plan after completing required HACCP training.

  • Basic Mathematical Skills - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure,

using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Education and/or Experience

  • High school education; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
