Child Care Teacher

Job details:

• Pay: $18-$22 hour+ DOE AND Amazing Bonus Structure (sign-on and referral bonuses available)
  
• Schedule Notes: CHILD CARE CENTER OPEN 6A-8P.
• A 7.5 HOUR SHIFT WOULD BE WITHIN THOSE HOURS (M-F)
• MUST HAVE 2 YEARS CHILDCARE EXPERIENCE
• Duration: 3 month direct hire
  

Responsibilities:

• Plan, develop, and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and learning activities to promote children’s cognitive, social, language, gross and fine motor development, independence, and self-esteem.
  
• Document children’s daily progress, activities, and observations; maintain accurate records and prepare progress reports and feedback for parents.
  
• Implement Reggio Emilia concepts in indoor and outdoor classrooms while supporting program goals that encourage children’s autonomy, family involvement, and individual development.
  
• Ensure a clean, safe, and healthy classroom environment by following infection control procedures, maintaining equipment and supplies, identifying hazards, and adhering to licensing and accreditation standards.
  
• Supervise teacher aides and volunteers, maintain adequate playground supervision, and collaborate with teachers, team leaders, supervisors, and directors to address children’s and classroom needs.
  
• Follow established policies and regulatory guidelines, participate in staff meetings and continuing education, support smooth transitions for children and families, and perform additional duties or assignments as required.

Requirements

• Previous experience working with children ages six (6) weeks to six (6) years of age (paid or unpaid).
  
• Two (2) years of formal experience.
  

Preferred Skills & Experience:-Experience specifically working with children six (6) weeks to two (2) years old.-Familiarity with the Reggio philosophical approach to education for children.

Required Education:-Two (2) year degree in early childhood education, child psychology, psychology or closely related field.-High School Diploma or equivalent.-Minimum of 40 hours of coursework in early childhood education or related field (i.e. Child Psychology, Children’s Literature).OR-Equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Education:
-Bachelors or Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education or Elementary Education.Required Certifications & Licensure:-N/A

Preferred Certifications & Licensure:-Child Development Associate (CDA) Certificate.
