Senior Software Engineer – Ultima

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to design and develop storage and networking solutions for Kubernetes-based infrastructure. The role involves building scalable, distributed systems, enhancing cloud infrastructure capabilities, and troubleshooting complex performance issues in a hands-on engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and release storage/networking features for Kubernetes-based infrastructure.
  

• Debug and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters and complex system performance issues.
  

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build integrated storage and networking solutions.
  

• Develop enhancements for multi-cluster environments, cloud integration, and distributed systems.
  

• Maintain high coding standards, automate manual processes, and identify potential security risks.
  

• Contribute to rapid release cycles using Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  

Requirements

Required Skills

• 8+ years of overall technical experience, including 4+ years in storage/networking software development using C/C++ in Unix/Linux environments.
  

• 3+ years of recent, continuous Kubernetes experience; CKAD certification is mandatory.
  

• Strong understanding of Kubernetes infrastructure, CSI drivers, CRs/CRDs, Docker, and container runtimes.
  

• Knowledge of system software, networking (TCP/IP), virtualization, and distributed storage systems.
  

• Understanding of storage protocols such as iSCSI, NFS, NVMe, and NVMe-oF.
  

• Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, debugging, and performance optimization.
  

• Experience with Agile/Scrum, rapid release cycles, and collaborative software development.
  

• Excellent communication skills and a passion for software engineering.
  

Preferred Skills

• Experience building Kubernetes infrastructure on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  

• Proficiency in GoLang.
  

• Experience developing distributed applications, microservices, and scalable SaaS products in cloud environments.

Education: B.Tech/master's degree in computer science or an equivalent qualification.
