Senior Seismic Application Developer

Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Seismic Application Developer to lead data engineering initiatives within our seismic operations team. This pivotal role involves designing and implementing robust data solutions using advanced visualization and cloud analytics tools to support critical decision-making processes. The successful candidate will bridge the gap between complex seismic data sets and actionable business insights, ensuring high-performance data pipelines and reporting structures that drive organizational efficiency and strategic growth in the GDC Chennai location.

Responsibilities

• Architect and maintain scalable data engineering pipelines utilizing Snowflake for cloud-based data storage and processing.
  
• Develop interactive dashboards and analytical reports using Tableau and Power BI to visualize seismic data trends.
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and translate business needs into technical specifications.
  
• Optimize data query performance and ensure data integrity across various seismic application modules.
  
• Participate in a three-stage video interview process and adapt to an afternoon shift schedule in a hybrid work environment.
  

Requirements

Requirements:

• Minimum of six years of professional experience in data engineering or application development roles.
  
• Proven expertise with mandatory tools including Tableau, Snowflake, and Power BI for data visualization and management.
  
• Strong background in handling large-scale datasets and applying data engineering best practices.
  
• Ability to work immediately or within a notice period of up to 30 days.
  
• Proficiency in hybrid work models with a willingness to work from the GDC Chennai office.
