There is scope for hours to increase depending on workload, client requirements and performance, however 25 hours per week cannot be guaranteed from commencement.
The role will support the existing HR Manager and wider team across day-to-day HR administration and client delivery. - Preparing employment contracts and HR documentation
- Maintaining employee records and HR files
- Supporting HR policies and procedures

- Supporting multiple client accounts simultaneously
- Communicating professionally with internal team members and clients
- Maintaining accurate task, time and client records
The role operates as a support function. Final decisions relating to terminations, remuneration, disciplinary outcomes, strategic HR matters and legal matters remain with the HR Manager, client management and relevant senior stakeholders.
Systems may include:
- Deputy
- Xero
- Employment Hero
- Google Workspace, including Gmail, Drive, Docs and Sheets
- Microsoft Office and Outlook
- Zoom
- Internal time-tracking and task management systems
- Various client-specific HR and payroll platforms
Experience in every system is not required. Training will be provided on internal processes and client-specific platforms.
Requirements
- Previous hands-on experience working within Australian HR
- Strong working knowledge of Fair Work Australia
- Practical understanding of Modern Awards
- Experience with employee classifications and award interpretation
- Experience preparing and working with employment contracts
- Good understanding of HR policies, procedures and compliance requirements
- Experience supporting onboarding and offboarding processes
- Exposure to payroll or HR compliance checks
- Experience maintaining employee records and HR documentation
- Confidence supporting performance management and investigation administration
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable communicating directly with clients and internal stakeholders
- Able to work across multiple client accounts at the same time
- Strong organisation and follow-up skills
- High level of discretion and confidentiality
- Able to work independently while understanding when matters need to be escalated
- Reliable availability approximately 3 hours per day, Monday to Friday
- Ability to work during hours reasonably aligned with Perth business hours
- Reliable remote work setup with stable internet and a professional workspace
- Comfortable using or learning systems such as Deputy, Xero, Employment Hero, Google Workspace and Microsoft Office
The priority is someone who already understands the Australian HR environment. Training can be provided on systems and internal processes, but the successful candidate should not require training in Australian HR fundamentals.
