CONFIDENTIAL Scovai, a leader in the Talent Acquisition & Recruiting sector, is partnering with a prominent financial services firm operating in the digital assets space to identify an exceptional Digital Assets Compliance & Risk Director based in Hong Kong SAR. This is a pivotal leadership opportunity for a seasoned compliance professional to own and drive the firm's end-to-end compliance and risk framework across its digital asset products and services, ensuring full adherence to SFC and HKMA regulations—including the Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) licensing regime. Operating under a hybrid working arrangement, the Director will serve as the primary compliance authority, designing and implementing robust AML/CFT frameworks, overseeing regulatory reporting obligations, and providing expert guidance on emerging risks across DeFi, tokenisation, and smart contract environments.

The successful candidate will lead a high-performing compliance team, act as the key liaison with internal audit functions, and maintain proactive relationships with regulators to anticipate and respond to the rapidly evolving digital assets regulatory landscape. Responsibilities span compliance programme design, crypto risk management, transaction monitoring strategy, and smart contract risk assessment—ensuring the firm remains at the forefront of regulatory best practice.

Deep understanding of custody architectures and cryptographic key management (MPC, HSMs, multisig) for institutional wallets and settlement flows

Proven track record deploying RegTech and compliance automation (APIs, workflow engines, data pipelines) to scale transaction monitoring, reporting, and KYC/KYB processes
