Counsellor

Key Responsibilities:

·       Ensure need assessment of PWMIs and caregivers.

·       Development of individualised intervention plan based on needs.

·       Provide Face to Face counselling services for PWMI and caregivers

·       Provide psychosocial education for PWMI and caregivers.

·       Develop  IEC materials and  Training modules.

·        Ensure Assessment and reassessment accuracy.

·       Build filed staff skills to perform their responsibilities.

·       Enter data software and maintain documentation of program.

·       Capacity building for stakeholders related mental health.

·       Prepare success case studies and submit reporting manager every month.

·       To Build network with the relevant stakeholders and user partners.

·       Carrying out  other duties as required and assigned by the Program Manager & Heads of CMHP.

Accountability:

·       Accountable for psychological counselling services.

·       Represent meeting all related CMHP program & take any decision in consultation with Program manager and programs heads.

·       Implement SOP for community mental health program and bring best practices and adapt psychological assessment tools for PWMIs and caregivers.

·       Train other staff on Assessment tools.

·       Documentation all key programs related to psychological intervention.

·       Set up counselling clinic in sub centre or PHCs level and APD office

·       Explore for new psychological intervention in CMHP program.

Requirements

• MSc in Clinical psychology/ MSc counselling psychology/ M.Phil. in psychiatric social work.
  
• 2 to 4 Years experience in mental health.
  
•  Good computer skills.
  
• Kannada and English Read, Write and speak.
  

• ·       Regular field visits across the project area.
  
• ·       Requires travel during outreach and community engagement activities
