Summary
Our dynamic manufacturing division is seeking a detail-oriented and proficient TIG Welder to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will utilize advanced Tungsten Inert Gas welding techniques to perform precise metal fabrication, ensuring the structural reliability and high-quality standards of our production output. Your contributions will be essential in meeting rigorous industry specifications and fulfilling specific client needs. We are looking for an individual with a proven background in metalworking who prioritizes safety compliance and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality TIG welding operations on a variety of metal components to ensure dimensional precision and structural integrity.
- Interpret and adhere to complex technical drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications to execute detailed welding tasks accurately.
- Prepare metal surfaces through comprehensive cleaning, grinding, and edge preparation prior to the welding process.
- Inspect finished welds for defects such as cracks, porosity, or incomplete fusion, and perform necessary repairs to maintain quality standards.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment by strictly following safety protocols and participating in regular equipment maintenance schedules.
- Collaborate with engineering and production staff to optimize fabrication processes and resolve technical challenges.
- Monitor the condition of welding equipment and inventory levels of consumables, promptly reporting any malfunctions or shortages.
Requirements
- Proven experience in metal manufacturing, with specialized expertise in TIG welding techniques.
- Strong understanding of welding metallurgy, joint designs, and appropriate filler metal selection.
- Ability to read and interpret detailed technical schematics and engineering drawings with accuracy.
- Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail to consistently produce precise welds.
- Unwavering commitment to workplace safety and full adherence to all occupational health and safety regulations.
- Valid TIG welding certification is highly preferred.
- Capacity to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment while meeting strict deadlines.
